3 ISLANDS IN A DAY
Sometimes
life makes more sense when you enjoy it as you could and having a silent moment
of your own. This certainly been true for me as I experienced it myself.
May
2nd, 2015 had been an amazing weekend of travel for me – the trip of
a solo female traveler. Months previously, I’d wish for an island hopping and
began to search for informations about those places I want to travel. Whatever might happened, I crossed my heart to
make it without companion.
I
drove myself to the jetty which is 80km away from where I live. I took a boat
which brought me to 3 famous island in Semporna – Bohey Dulang Island,
Mantabuan Island and Sibuan Island. The best things was im not actually alone
because I shared the boat which 7 other travelers who headed to the same
islands as me. Meeting different sorts of people is the best part about
travelling because this is the biggest opportunities to make friends.
We
bounced for the first island – Bohey Dulang and the boatman told us few things
about the island. The most popular activity being done in the island is hiking
to the second highest point of the island which is about 600 meters above sea
level. I challenged myself to make it happened. Hiking with slipper was a bit
challenging for me because the trail was slippery at that time. But the great
view I enjoyed from the top makes it worthwhile.
The 600m hiking trails brought me to this great
view of all.
This was one of the breathtaking view of Mantabuan Islans I’d
froze in my camera.
I
brought myself here just for sight-seeing. The last island for this trip was
Sibuan Island which is situated about 20 minutes away from Mantabuan. According to the boatman, Sibuan is one of
the popular islands among the divers because of the superb underwater world. As
I experienced it myself, I can’t deny that this island exposed me to a very
spectacular view of marine life. However, diving activities were exclusive for
those with diving lisence. As for me, snorkeling was just enough at the time
and still I was amazed. Will looking forward to own a diving lisence.
This island is always full of visitors.
This
was a wonderful day trip and for sure there will be more islands to discover in
the future. Today I’m done with one of my bucket lists. Before I forgot, lets
me shared to you how much I’d spend for this trip.
These
islands hopping cost me about RM90. ( Boat Fare, Lunch Set, Snorkeling Sets,
Life Jacket, Fin Shoes were included )
